November 16. Today is the final day of the 8th Azerbaijan International Environmental Exhibition, Caspian Ecology 2017 at the Baku Expo Centre. This important event in the Caspian and Caucasus regions has attracted 53 companies and government agencies from seven countries and has clearly demonstrated that in its current stage of development, the society gives great importance to the environmental consciousness.
The exhibition is relevant as it has once again stressed the importance of environmental management and education in this field. During the VIP tour, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Firdausi Aliyev and the General Director of Caspian Event Organisers Mr Edward Strachan noted the diversity of the exhibition in terms of addressing environmental problems.
The exhibition stands has presented innovative products and solutions in the field of ecology. Caspian Ecology 2017 has demonstrated development of rational use of natural resources, production of paper and plastic pipes, along with waste recycling systems and water treatment.
For the first time within the framework of Caspian Ecology, the Organisers arranged a conference entitled “Functional Ecology and Environment” which touched upon the most pressing environmental issues in the region. The conference has become a productive platform for the exchange of views and experience among government agencies, businessmen and expert organisations.
Visitors to the exhibition have learned the methods of improving the ecology in any big cities, along with ways to make life comfortable without harm to nature. This environmental policy is pursued today by the largest market players and exhibitors, including BP, SOCAR, HAZARDOUS WASTES, POLYMART, RETRO Holding, SOCAR POLYMER, ODIS FILTERING LTD.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Association IDEA (International dialogue in the name of environmental protection). The event is being organized by Caspian Event Organisers, CEO.
