CTE 2015: new technologies, new equipment and industry's trends
The 6th Azerbaijan International Exhibition for Environmental Protection “Caspian: Technologies for Environment”, CTE 2015, will take place at the Baku Expo Center Exhibition Complex from the 18th -20th November. This exhibition is the only significant event for ecology and environmental protection in the Caspian and Caucasus regions that is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Association IDEA (International dialogue in the name of environmental protection). The event is being organised by Caspian Event Organisers, CEO.
35 companies from 10 countries including Azerbaijan, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey, and Switzerland are participating in this year's exhibition. The Czech Republic’s national stand is participating in this exhibition for the second year in a row and is exhibiting seven large Czech companies. Most of the participants are local government agencies, such as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for the first time this year. OJSC Temiz Sheher (“Clean City”), “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” Closed Joint-Stock Company, Ekol and Yagmur-2 are also among the exhibitors. Furthermore, the oil companies SOCAR and BP will be presenting new technology for water treatment, soil cleaning and toxic waste management.
40% of the participants are newcomers at the exhibition, including: Socar Polymer (Azerbaijan), Jacobi Carbon AG (Switzerland), Mavi Deniz (Turkey), ACO Marine SRO, Brentwood Europe SRO, TECO AS, TOPOL WATER SRO (Czech Republic), and Sibstroy – Ecology, Zhilstroy (Russian Federation). The stand of the Chamber of Commerce of the Tyumen region (Russian Federation) will present an exposition of three Russian companies.
In general, CTE 2015 is a demonstration of the latest developments in the field of the efficient use of natural resources, systems for the collection and disposal of solid waste, modern samples of alternative energy equipment, as well as attracting people's attention to environmental issues and their solutions. The debutants will present equipment for waste and recycling, water purification systems, and more.
In addition, the exhibition is accompanied by a business programme. As such, on the first day of the exhibition, the Minister of Environment and Water of Bulgaria, Ivelina Vasileva will make a visit, during which business meetings will be held. The Czech Republic’s national stand will be hosting a number of presentations. Furthermore, on November 19th "Youth Energy" The 1st International Youth Conference in the framework of "Decade of Sustainable Energy for All (2014-2024)" UN Program will take place. Project is implemented by "EkoSfera" Social-Ecological Center jointly with UNESCO Baku Office with the participation of Republican Ecological Training and Experience Center of the Ministry of Education. Environmental experts from Russia and the Netherlands and students have been invited to participate in the conference. Also Training and Experience Center of the Ministry of Education will hold workshops and training sessions for supervisors in the field of ecology, biology and chemistry teachers in secondary schools in the exhibition, with the participation of experts of Deloitte Azerbaijan the company. Thus, the international CTE exhibition will help to expand business contacts, exchange experience, enhance familiarity with new equipment and trends in the industry and it will give an additional impetus to the current work being done towards improving the environment.
